Being down here in Riviera Maya has been spectacular. It has been such a privilege and pleasure to have been asked to join along on this trip and see all that this magical property has to offer. There are a few fellow Chicago planner colleagues here, some that were dear friends which made this extra fun, and some that I have had the chance to get to know which has been so fantastic! Meeting planners from different companies and cities is always such an opportunity to learn and be inspired. I have really enjoyed everyone’s company on this trip!

Make sure you are following along on my insta stories for all of the details, and special thanks to my husband Collin Pierson for the amazing photos!

Not only is the Banyan Tree Mayakoba a beautiful place to celebrate a destination wedding weekend, it would make for a pretty awesome honeymoon destination as well.

Known as a “sanctuary for the senses” – Banyan Tree is a premium resort that blends Asian hospitality with the idyllic passion of Mexico. Nestled within the private gated integrated resort development of Mayakoba, immerse yourself in untouched nature, surrounded by an arcadia of indigenous fish and bird species in a carefully maintained ecosystem, complemented with the Riviera Maya luxury resort’s familiar warmth and charm.

We began the day with morning yoga at MK blue, a stunning beach side event space that is perfect for receptions.

Nestled in the unique ecosystem of Mayakoba, Banyan Tree is full of things to do and see. The Riviera Maya is dotted with important cultural sights due to the Mayan Culture including pyramids, temples and ceremonial places. Exploring the local culture and the unique nature wonders is an opportunity not to be missed. After yoga, we were invited to breakfast on these adorable little electric boats and enjoyed an eco tour. Breakfast was amazing, and the views were unreal. Such a great idea for the bride and her maids the morning of the wedding – or a romantic evening for two dinner option is available also!

After the boat tour, we popped over to the little “pueblicito” that has some charming shops and this gorgeous church available for Catholic ceremonies.

Lunch was such a beautiful experience. Sitting at a gorgeous table right on the beach as they deliver the fresh catch of the day right to you from the sea. And the ceviche and fish tacos were some of the best I have ever had!

And let’s discuss their dining options in general. AMAZING. There is no such thing as a bad meal. We dined at Saffron last night and the Thai cuisine was outstanding. Banyan Tree’s signature restaurant, Saffron, serves contemporary Thai Cuisine prepared by Thai chefs, who have come to Mayakoba to share their authentic gastronomy with their guests. An intimate restaurant perfect for special occasions, Saffron is a one-of-a-kind experience. Sitting on a wooden deck overlooking the tropical mangroves, while sampling the finest Thai delicacies, is truly unforgettable. Chef Renu ensures that authenticity and the true essence of Thai Cuisine are preserved in all dishes. At Saffron, every meal is a gastronomical experience. Turning every meal to a mouth-watering gastronomical experience. For more, click here.

Such a great second day – thank you Banyan Tree Mayakoba!
