2019 is here, and that means it’s time for a new year, a new you, and a new group of exciting wedding trends. The wedding industry had lots of inspiration to draw upon last year (two royal weddings!), which resulted in stellar ideas you’ll simply adore! Here are a few of our favorites:
Living Coral
This vibrant shade was named Pantone’s 2019 “Color of the Year,” so expect to see the orangy-pink hue everywhere during wedding season. Thankfully, this bright shade beautifully compliments colors like white, green, or navy blue, which makes it a great pop of color for your big day.
Minimalist Fashion
Ever since Meghan Markle (now Meghan, Duchess of Sussex) wowed the world with her classic silk wedding gown, brides have been opting for more minimalist designs. Thanks to the Duchess’s simple yet chic look, dresses with clean lines and minimal embellishments are going to fly off the racks in 2019!
Statement Cakes
For the past few years, cake alternatives (candy buffets, s’more bars, etc.) have been the hottest trend in the wedding industry. But in 2019, the great big cake is back! This trend — which is likely inspired by the recent royal weddings — is encouraging couples to order tall, ornate cakes that will look great on their dessert table.
Collin and I had quite the statement cake at our wedding and it really added that extra WOW moment!
Personalized Place Settings
In 2019, couples are replacing the traditional place cards with personalized messages, thanking their guests for coming to celebrate with them. Admittedly, this is easier if you’re having a small wedding, but it can be a wonderful way to show your guests that you appreciate their being there.
