May is moving so quickly. From Kentucky Derby to Cinco de Mayo in 24 hours. 🤩Whatever the celebration, great style must be central. I absolutely loved this dinner party in a villa we rented for a vacation in Puerto Vallarta with dear friends. By “shopping in the home”, designer and my dear friend @erinmcdonaldco brought an eclectic mix of glasses, bowls, china, candles and fun. Filtered with fresh floral (and even a few limes for good measure!)  from the property, there was color, texture, and a warm sense of welcome the minute you saw this table.  Now that is my kind of Cinco. Look at that view. Dinner al fresco with a fresh catch of the day, gorgeous decor, tequila a plenty and friends that are family – It just doesn’t get any better – except that it did because we were surprised with mariachi!!! Enjoy the inspo, and enjoy Cinco!

I love to find things in my home (or wherever I may be staying) that I can use at part of table decor. Eclectic and fun, it tells such a different, less formal story and that is one of my favorite things. Also – who doesn’t love a little Corona when in Mexico?

Am I the only one obsessed with bougainvillea? That COLOR and the fluttery texture gets me every time!

I love how the bowls of lime add color and just something unexpected

the pillows give me this sense of “welcome to the table” that I love, and those blue glasses give me life!

the simple pleasure of setting places. Obsessed

Looking closely you can see how this table was a labor of love and nothing insanely formal – which sometimes is the perfect way to celebrate.

With a backdrop like this, everything becomes more beautiful doesn’t it?

enjoying conversation and toasts with some of our best friends.

The finished table – and those views behind it!

After dinner views. I am still in love with this Francesca Miranda dress!

a surprise visit from Mariachi in our villa! Loved that touch, my friends know me SO WELL!

Our incredible friends who celebrated in Mexico with us – the trip of a lifetime!
