Wanderlust, or intentional travel?

While some have a non specific yet driving sense of wanderlust, I instead find myself drawn to specific places for very intentional reasons. Travel for the sake of covering as much ground as possible, or to see everything in two days is just not for me. 😎. I am also not an escapist, but more of a seeker -> searching for something within every place I visit. I love good history, fab food, awesome views and a place where my soul recharges and reboots. Mindful travel is my jam. 👈🏼😎

I am especially grateful to have a partner in life that understands and respects this, and happens to be an awesome travel buddy. (Thanks husband 😘).

Florence is a second home to me, forever where my spirit and my physical self heal and restore themselves. And Palm Beach is no different. Spending winters down here with my horses, team and my husband creates an energy in the first few months of the year that sets the tone for the rest of it. The frequency is high, active, healthy -> motivated and full of sunshine and goals. YESSSS 😎✨

If you have followed me for any length of time you know that I am drawn to history and have an immense yen for great style and life lived with a fair share of elegance. ✨

And while Chicago is where I was born and has contributed to who I am, pieces of my heart do live outside of it. And that is totally ok. 💜

Our last evening in Palm Beach was a very special one. The Colony Hotel Palm Beach is an incredibly historic place (dating back to 1947) and such a perfectly pretty and pink one! A who’s who of international fame has stayed there from JFK to the Shah of Persia to Hollywood stars. If you make your way to the Palm Beaches, make sure to include this hotel on your list. And stop by Swifty’s, the restaurant located poolside within the hotel. Great food, service and of course, style! Oh and the people watching is decadent 😎✨✨

Now -> onwards we go, back home and towards Michelle Durpetti Events weddings and restaurant events and True North Stables horse shows throughout the midwest this summer (Lexington & Traverse city are also favorite spots!). Back to the Peloton bike and Gene & Georgetti too.
