My face when I know it’s Friday and I survived another week! 😂 And also whenever I see gorgeous floral, obviously. Especially when it’s from my talented friend Kesh Events 🥰

Ok so I have not done an Introduction Friday in a minute, so here we go – allow me to introduce myself. 🙋🏻‍♀️

Michelle Durpetti, wedding planner, equestrian, Italy expert, restaurant owner, third generation entrepreneur, farm owner, proud adoptee, incredibly proud Italiana -> all things that you know.

Fact: I love working all over the world for clients and am so excited to be in gorgeous Puerto Rico for a really special couple next April 🤩✨

I am also a proud board member of Illinois Restaurant Association, and thrilled to be part of the development board of Paws Chicago, too!

Now, here’s the best one -> Did you know that I am also a knight? (For real!). On May 9th I was inducted into the inaugural delegation of Ordine Dei Cavalieri Alba here in Chicago -> (be sure to follow!) @knightsofalba_chicago.

As a knight in this order, my responsibility is to preserve, safeguard and educate about the local customs, practices and traditions, of local food and wine, actively promoting the typical wines and food of Alba both in Italy and abroad.

So I am a knight of wine + truffles. And you can officially call me Dame Durpetti 💃🏼✨

A few fun facts:
February 22nd 1967 a Food and Wine Brotherhood named the Order of Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba was formed in a small trattoria in the village of Grinzane Cavour

The first woman knight, Bianca Vetrino was inducted in 1968. And the maestro of our delegation is a powerhouse woman whom I absolutely adore named Georgia Marsh.

The Order of Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba is headquartered in the prestigious Castle of Grinzane Cavour.

The symbolic significance of this location in the history of Italy was specifically recognized by UNESCO World Heritage in 2014.

So excited to share some fun moments from the induction, including a fun moment shared with the consul general of Italy in Chicago and Robert Allegrini, president of National Italian American Foundation (NIAF)! @italyinchicago 🇮🇹🍷
