Three Things I Love About Tuscany
- The Light
Golden hour in Tuscany is unmatched. The sun hits the hills, the olive groves, the centuries-old buildings—and suddenly everything feels like a Renaissance painting. It’s cinematic and romantic in a way that only Italy can deliver. - The History
Florence, Lucca, Siena… every stone has a story. As someone who studied art history, I’ve always felt a connection to Tuscany’s layered past. But beyond the famous monuments, it’s the small churches, quiet piazzas, and lived-in charm that I love most. - The People
Tuscans are passionate, proud, and full of character. It’s the way they speak, the way they cook, the way they live—everything is infused with heart. It reminds me so much of my own family.
Two Things You Might Not Know About Me
- I made my Holy Communion in Italy
I was just a little girl when I received my Holy Communion at San Martino in Freddana, a small church in Tuscany where my grandmother’s cousin was the priest. (Yes, that’s about as Italian as it gets!) It’s one of my favorite childhood memories. I’ll never forget the dress, the emotion, the joy. (You can see a photo from that day below.) - I studied Italian for nearly 13 years
Italian was a major part of my education—and my life. I actually earned my degree in part through Italian studies, and I still think and dream in the language to this day. If you know the love of a language that deeply, then you know—it never really leaves you.
A Dream Realized at Engage!
All of that—my roots, my heritage, my passion—made this moment at Engage! Tuscany incredibly special. Speaking to a room full of my peers, friends, and industry leaders about the journey I’ve walked with my family, our restaurant, and my own business was emotional, empowering, and something I’ll never forget.
Thank you to Garrett Richardson for capturing so much of Tuscany’s beauty in a single frame, and thank you to the entire Engage! team for the platform, the support, and the experience.
And thank you, Tuscany, for always being home.
If you’re dreaming of a destination wedding in Italy, I’d love to share what I know, what I’ve lived, and how we can make your own full-circle moments come to life.
