Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University.
Empowering Physicians Worldwide Through Global Education
Since 2009, Chicago Sister Cities International has worked closely with the Lurie Cancer Center to connect international physicians with advanced medical training and collaborative experiences. This initiative represents a powerful expression of global cooperation, knowledge sharing, and support in the fight against breast cancer.
Thanks to the generous support of the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation, 2025 will mark another incredible opportunity for international physicians. A select group of outstanding applicants from Chicago’s 28 sister cities will receive full funding to attend the 2025 Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Symposium, a highly regarded 3.5-day program taking place this October.
Led by leading experts in medical, surgical, and radiation oncology, the symposium is designed to share the latest in breast cancer research, treatment approaches, and emerging clinical practices. Attendees will participate in a robust academic program while forming valuable professional connections with colleagues from across the globe.
This is a rare and meaningful opportunity for international physicians to grow their expertise and bring new knowledge back to their home countries—ultimately improving breast cancer outcomes worldwide. This initiative covers travel, accommodations, and registration for accepted applicants and is a unique chance for medical professionals to expand their expertise and build global connections in the fight against breast cancer.
