Italy, always. 🇮🇹
This summer, our team at Michelle Durpetti Events had the immense privilege of producing a wedding for a very special couple, Kit & Vinny, it was an extraordinary multi-day celebration in Florence, Tuscany. But as is often the case in our world of luxury weddings, it’s not just about the event. It’s about the people, the process, and the relationships that bring it all to life.
In between sun-soaked days filled with design installations, vendor meetings, logistics, laughter, and more than 28,000 steps daily (yes, really!), there were moments of real magic. And for me, it’s those in-between moments—often unseen by the outside world—that remind me just how grateful I am to do what I do.
Black and white photographs, like the ones captured so brilliantly by our team member and dear friend Kent Drake, hold a certain timelessness. They distill the joy, the hustle, the camaraderie, and the connection. There’s something about removing the color that actually allows the emotion to shine brighter.
You’ll see us in these images: exhausted and exhilarated, caffeinated and committed, sun-kissed and soul-filled. This is the dream-chasing, gypsy-hearted, purpose-driven life we live. We work incredibly hard, yes—but we are also endlessly blessed to do this work alongside people we trust, admire, and genuinely adore.
Every wedding we plan in Italy is layered with meaning—whether it’s our knowledge of the region, our fluency in the culture and language, or the special care we give each couple from the very first conversation to the final farewell. But it’s also about our team. The humans behind the logistics, the emails, the room flips, the champagne sabering, the final dress fluff, the hug before walking down the aisle.
To every team member, creative partner, and yes—spouse—who made that dream week a reality: grazie di cuore. These memories are countless, and they are all the more beautiful because we shared them together.
And Kent—thank you for capturing it all with such quiet strength and grace. It is always an honor to call you a colleague, and a privilege to call you a friend. ✨
