My life has been a whirl wind of activity since I last posted an equestrian blog. It has been 6 months – time has FLOWN. It feels like yesterday that I was sitting in my camper in Ocala and writing about getting back in to the saddle and how I was struggling...

🌸 Taking time to smell the (roses) lavender 🌸

In the hustle and bustle of managing Gene & Georgetti, Michelle Durpetti Events, and @andiamofarm, it’s essential to find moments of peace and recharge. To be my best for my MDE clients, our @gene_georgetti team and for the Andiamo farm bunch (along with just life in general) knowing when to slow down and take care of me is really important. Orrrrrso I thought 😕🫠🤣

I learned a very valuable lesson when I had an unfortunate fall with my horse a week or so ago, and that is that I cannot do all of the things all of the time. Despite my insistence to try!

So, picking lavender in Northern Michigan has been the perfect reminder of peace, tranquility, + taking care. Especially these days while I continue to heal. 🌿💜

This week, I’m focusing on three things to stay in the moment and ensure I’m recharging:

1. Enjoying a quiet morning walk to get everything going to promote healing followed by a balanced breakfast and my supplement regimen (thanks Jocelyn for your input here!). Just being with the hubs + pups and enjoying the summer morning is really lovely and not something I always took time to appreciate!

2. Leaning on my teams for support at this time when I need to be focused on healing. This one is always a challenge, but thankfully I have a really great team in multiple areas in my life that make all the balls spin!

3. Reading a good book to unwind and let my imagination soar is such a luxury! I used to read as a young person constantly but I have noticed as life became more full, my reading list dwindled down to zero. So now when I take time for myself, I try to read a book. It is so satisfying to finish a good book isn’t it? I took that feeling for granted in my 20’s so now I have learned to savor the luxury of reading! ✨

Remember, taking time for yourself is not a luxury, it’s a necessity! And there is no time like the present so I can get back to the business of being my 10,000 MPH self! Now tell me -> What are you doing this week to recharge? 💫✨

Captured love in the heart of Boston! 🇮🇹🦞💕 This couple’s wedding was a beautiful blend of history, culture, and personal moments. We loved how they took the time to explore the North End – Boston’s own “Little Italy” – and create memories at all the spots that mean the most to the groom. And then celebrated their wedding reception right in the heart of the groom’s childhood seaside neighborhood of Winthrop, where we created a gorgeous celebration in a public park! From historic streets to culinary delights, their journey was a true reflection of their love story. 📸✨

Taking you behind the scenes of my double life as a restaurant operator at Gene & Georgetti and a wedding planner at Michelle Durpetti Events (we can leave the 10,000 other hats I wear out of this post 🤣). From ensuring every steak is cooked to perfection to making sure every wedding detail is just right, I’ve learned so much from both worlds, and both worlds are working to make me the very best version of myself.

I learn the importance of teamwork, attention to detail, and creating memorable experiences on a daily basis. And also how to honor my family’s 83 year business while also evolving it, all the while not losing sight of the business that I’ve loved and built in MDE the past 16 years.

Whether it’s a perfect dish or a flawless event, inspiring our teams at the restaurant and MDE is key. And hey, juggling both roles means I can expertly coordinate a wedding while recommending the best wine pairings! 🍷💍🤩🤣

Inspired by the people who help make it all work, I strive to go above and beyond to create genuine experiences that stay with people. It’s all about those extra touches that make every moment unforgettable. Snippets in this reel are from a recent all team meeting we had at G & G. I remember being little and wanting to do the thin

I remember being little and wanting to do the things that “grown-up” women were doing. As a teenager, I wanted to dominate the world. In my 20s, I aimed to become somebody who mattered and contributed positively and impactfully to the world around me.

Many incredible women helped me along the way. They shared their knowledge, offered support, inspired me, pushed me, taught me—and ultimately shaped my life. ✨✨ Cheers and much gratitude to them. 💖

With that in mind, I believe it’s vital to extend our hands to the young women who come after us, who stand before us, and who walk alongside us. There is no greater energy, and nothing more tenacious than the power of good women. ✨

Thrilled to see a few of our wonderful team members featured in @wttwchicago ‘s latest article, highlighting the incredible partnership between @gene_georgetti + the talented Muñoz brothers. Their passion and dedication is unmatched and I am so proud that Juan & JJ were able to share their Gene & Georgetti story ❤️

Join me in celebrating this amazing duo, and the wonderful experiences they have created in their combined 72 years at our restaurant. They are like Dads to me, and have been at the restaurant for most of my life. In Juan’s case - ALL of my life. They are also just two of maybe 4 of us left that knew Gene, Tony and are still on the floor. So many unforgettable moments at Gene & Georgetti. 🍽️✨

I’m grateful to them more than I can say, and I’m also grateful to their wonderful families because having a spouse or parent in this business isn’t easy and they have always been wonderfully supportive. I’ll share the link in my bio.
