Fall is here, and I have to say, it’s my favorite time of year. 🍂 There’s just something about the coziness and warmth that this season brings, especially at Gene & Georgetti (hello homemade pasta and soups made daily 🤩). It’s when our tradition meets the flavors of the season, and our menu makes that magic happen. And GUESS what?! We just launched our fall/winter menu 🍁🤩✨👌🏼

Our seasonal menu is full of hearty, cozy dishes perfect for the chillier days ahead. From our classic Chicken Joe to eggplant parmigiana to our prime cuts that are a feast for the senses, we are celebrating our classics and adding new favorites like ribollita alongside our fresh, homemade pastas that bring that authentic touch. 🇮🇹👌🏼 And let’s not forget the accompaniments—all made with the same care as our signature fresh bread. Happy Halloween! 🎃 No tricks, only treats here today—and a little info about me for those who don’t know:

I’m Michelle Durpetti, a proud third-generation Chicagoan, managing partner of my family’s legendary Tuscan steakhouse, Gene & Georgetti, and the visionary behind Michelle Durpetti Events, curating weddings and celebrations that span from the heart of Chicago to sunny south Florida and right on over to the sun-drenched coastlines of Italy. From stepping into my first restaurant shift to orchestrating luxurious weddings with layers of detail and intention, I’ve built my career on the belief that extraordinary hospitality transforms any moment into an unforgettable one. ✨

What you might not know? My life outside the planning board is just as vibrant. I’m an equestrian enthusiast, finding tranquility in my beloved horses, and discovering Italy anew every time I visit (pro tip: the Sicilian fish markets are a must!). I’ve woven the lessons learned from my horses into everything I do—grace under pressure and the magic of preparation are game-changers in both riding and wedding planning. 🐎✨

I’m also deeply inspired by my family. My dad, Tony, instilled in me a work ethic and my grandfather Gene gave me such pride in my Italian heritage that drives me to honor their legacies in everything I touch, whether it’s our restaurant’s homemade pasta or the love stories I help couples bring to life.

And here’s a fun fact: Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday! There’s something about this time when everyone believes in magic, and that makes my inner (good) witch so happy. ✨🦇
