Greetings amici miei!! Welcome to the very last day of this year. And what a year right? But we’ve discussed that before so let’s talk about celebrating in style, instead! When I lived in Florence, I learned that wearing red underwear on NYE can bring both love **and prosperity in the new year. Don’t worry, I’mma leave that part all up to you 🤣. What I have done since learning this little tradition is to weave it throughout my New Year’s celebration endeavors. I always love a little sparkle + pop for the eve, so gold is a frequent part of my color palette. I love pairing it with white. A dash of fresh greens (heavenly scent) and then -> a pop of red! Peonies, roses, greens, ranunculus, and anemone are some of my absolute favorite floral so when these beauties arrived from @Fleur De Lis I was in heaven! Complete the look: my mother’s china + flatware (a wedding gift from my grandmother now 53 years ago!), damask linen purchased on a trip to Siena, and salt + pepper shakers from Florence. The pop de ré·sis·tance? (See what I did there?) Those oh so fab red wine glasses, complete with the red cordial set that was a gift to my grandfather from a restaurant supplier in the 1970’s. I was looking to create a table that felt hopeful, celebratory, and had a little sass. (I know, I know, such a surprise 🤣). So this is where our NYE meal will take place. What about you? What pretty little details and delicious menu items are you planning? Share with me below 👇🏼, and while you do – know that I am sending you all love, definitely loads of sparkle, and wishes for hope, health & prosperity in the new year. And, obviously, I wish you all a most stylish Eve. Buon Anno, cari amici miei. 😘❤️
